As part of the celebrations marking 50 years of existence of the International Pierre de Coubertin Committee (IPCC), the National Pierre de Coubertin Committee of Cameroon has initiated a series of commemorative activities under the name ‘Jubilee Cup’ for the Pierre de Coubertin Schools under its auspices.
Held on 2 April 2025 at the Lycée de TSINGA in Yaoundé, these activities brought together young Olympians from the ‘Pierre de Coubertin Cercles’ at the Lycée de Tsinga and the Lycée Technique in Yaoundé 2, the two Pierre de Coubertin Schools in Cameroon.
The ‘Jubilee Cup’ organised on this occasion was a drawing competition (for pupils in 4th grade) and a literature competition (for pupils in 2nd grade). An Othello tournament (4th year classes) and an Abalone tournament (2nd year classes) were also organised.
The Pierre de Coubertin Schools formed School Olympic Delegations, each made up of two teams of 4th year students and two teams of 10th year students, who took part in the activities, making a total of 24 participants and 6 supervisors.
