On April 29th, students from Basic School URI- Erechim came to Brazilian Pierre de Coubertin Committee headquarters in Porto Alegre to attend the Doctor Honoris Causa ceremony for Professor Lamartine Pereira da Costa.

On this occasion, the members of the Olympic Studies Research Group (GPEO) of Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) conducted an Olympic Studies seminar and shared experiences. Nelson Todt, President of the Brazilian Pierre de Coubertin Committee and also GPEO’s Coordinator, and Professor Lamartine da Costa were also at the event and had an interesting conversation with the students.​ Todt also had a meeting with the students who will represent Brazil at the International Youth Forum of Pierre de Coubertin Schools, to be held in Mâcon, France.
