The school in Oaxaca pays tribute to Pierre de Coubertin

The Pierre de Coubertin School, in Oaxaca, Mexico, has published this month the Olympic Museum Revue of the Pierre de Coubertin Institute, a tribute to various celebrations held this year and, at the same time, a recognition of its philatelic collection “100 Years of the Olympic Games”.
This edition was prepared by the school’s directors, Dr. Lilia Victoria Sánchez y Sánchez and Dr. Mario Eduardo Martínez Sánchez, with editorial coordination by Daniela Madian Martínez and Jimmy Sanginés, whose support has been essential for the development of this philatelic project.
The publication is closely linked to the Museum of Philately and commemorates the anniversary of the International Pierre de Coubertin Committee (IPCC). In this first issue, it also includes information about the change in the direction of the school presidency, among other relevant topics.
The Objectives:
The main purpose of this first edition is to encourage young people to visit and explore the Virtual Olympic Museum, where the life and work of Baron Pierre de Coubertin converge with the history of the Olympic Games, the International Network of Pierre de Coubertin Schools, and the philatelic collection that enriches this legacy.
It also seeks to honor the Olympic spirit, highlighting the image and ideals of Pierre de Coubertin, as well as the work of the International Pierre de Coubertin Committee.
This publication is the result of a collective effort aimed at preserving and disseminating the values that inspired the revival of the modern Olympic Games. It reaffirms the commitment to building bridges between generations and disciplines, convinced that Olympism is not only celebrated in stadiums, but also lived and learned in classrooms, museums, and every space where the ideals of excellence, respect, effort, and friendship flourish.
