The 2025 General Assembly was held on a significant day, paying tribute to Pierre de Coubertin, who passed away on 2 September 1937. In his opening remarks, IPCC President Stephan Wassong emphasized the enduring relevance of Pierre de Coubertin’s timeless philosophy in today’s world.

The president gave a comprehensive report on the activities carried out in 2024, ongoing initiatives in 2025, and proposals projected for 2026. He highlighted, in particular, that one of the key priorities is to examine the application of artificial intelligence across all levels of education.

Following his address, reports were delivered by members of the IPCC Board: Malik Atour EVELE, Vice-president in charge of education and culture, Daniel de la CUEVA, Corresponding member for Latin America, George HIRTHLER, Corresponding member for North America, Gary RHODES, Board member, Hilla DAVIDOV, member of the communications working group and Natalia CAMPS Y WILANT in charge of the new edition of the IPCC Directory.

The Secretary General, Elvira RAMINI, reported on the candidates seeking to join the institution. The Assembly voted unanimously to accept the new individual members and to recognize the newly established national Pierre de Coubertin Committees and schools, as follows: New individual members: Mr. Yoav DUBINSKY (USA), Ms Li Neo TAY (Malaysia), Ricardo VELA de BRITTO PEREIRA (Brazil), Regina WATKIN-KOLB (Germany), Dante Gerardo PARRA (Argentina) and Julio César RODRÍGUEZ (Argentina).Newly recognized national Pierre de Coubertin committees in CANADA, MALAYSIA, NEPAL, PAKISTAN and SINGAPORE.

55 members attended the General Assembly
