Extraordinary General Assembly of the International Pierre de Coubertin Committee
More that 40 members of the International Pierre de Coubertin Committee (IPCC) took part in the extraordinary General Assembly online on 2 July 2022. Five new members joined the IPCC and two new national committees were recognized: National Pierre de Coubertin Committee of Guatemala and of San Marino.
The most important points on the agenda were:
- 13th International Coubertin Youth Forum which will take place in November in the Olympic City of Münich which is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Olympic Games Munich 1972;
- Directory of IPCC members – a publication offering the profile of the institution and its members, soon to be published;
- Olympic Games Paris 2024 -Request by the IOC Olympic Studies Centre for IPCC/CFPC to contribute to the collection of Reference Documents on the life, work and vision of Coubertin.
- Planning of the 50th anniversary of the IPCC in 2025;
- Translation of Coubertin’s Olympic Memoirs into Hindi and Swahili;
- Foundation of the Association of National Pierre de Coubertin Committees of Africa (Congo Brazzaville, Congo Kinshasa, The Cameroon, The Gambia, Mauritius and South Africa).
