More that 40 members of the International Pierre de Coubertin Committee (IPCC) took part in the extraordinary General Assembly online on 2 July 2022. Five new members joined the IPCC and two new national committees were recognized: National Pierre de Coubertin Committee of Guatemala and of San Marino.

The most important points on the agenda were:

  • 13th International Coubertin Youth Forum which will take place in November in the Olympic City of Münich which is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Olympic Games Munich 1972;
  • Directory of IPCC members – a publication offering the profile of the institution and its members, soon to be published;
  • Olympic Games Paris 2024 -Request by the IOC Olympic Studies Centre for IPCC/CFPC to contribute to the collection of Reference Documents on the life, work and vision of Coubertin.
  • Planning of the 50th anniversary of the IPCC in 2025;
  • Translation of Coubertin’s Olympic Memoirs into Hindi and Swahili;
  • Foundation of the Association of National Pierre de Coubertin Committees of Africa (Congo Brazzaville, Congo Kinshasa, The Cameroon, The Gambia, Mauritius and South Africa).
