The International Pierre de Coubertin Committee is happy to announce that our President, Prof. Dr. Stephan Wassong has been elected to the post of Vice-President of the Senate of the German Sport University Cologne. The Senate is one of the central bodies of this University. The term of office runs for three years. 

At present, he is in charge of the Institute of Sport History, the Olympic Studies Centre, and Director of the international study programme M.A. Olympic Studies, which is supported by the IOC.
