The Brazilian Pierre de Coubertin Committee joined the School of Philosophy of the New Acropolis in the 3rd Philosophical-Sporting Pre-Season Event. This event was held at the International Olympic Academy (Olympia, Greece) and had as its objective the training of its philosopher members who share a passion for sport.
This event brought together 220 philosophers from 18 countries.IPCC Vice-President and President of the Brazilian Pierre de Coubertin Committee, Prof. Nelson Todt, gave the opening lecture entitled “Origins of the Olympic Philosophy“. Todt also organised several visits to the “Coubertin Stele” to pay tribute to the father of modern Olympism.
