With great satisfaction, we are pleased to announce that the Government of Uruguay, through its Ministry of Education and Culture, has granted the Comité Pierre de Coubertin Uruguay legal personality, recognizing it as a legal body with rights and duties throughout the territory of the Republic of Uruguay, becoming part of a non-profit civil association within the country. 

The International Pierre de Coubertin Committee congratulates and wishes future success to the team of the Uruguayan committee led by its President, Prof. Héctor Horacio Henry and Secretary General, Dante Steffano.
