Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Uruguay celebrated the 1st International Congress on Olympism in Colombia, and the 2^ndLatin American Pierre de Coubertin Symposium.

Presidents of Latin American National Pierre de Coubertin Committees met in Colombian city of Pereira attending the 1^st International Congress on Olympism in Colombia and 2^ndLatin American Pierre de Coubertin Symposium held from 26^thto 28^thSeptember 2019. 

The event was attended by the Honorary President of the CIPC, Conrado Durántez, students from Colombia, and delegates from Costa Rica, Ecuador and Puerto Rico. The talks were based on the philosophy and visions of Pierre de Coubertin and History of sport from the perspective of the Olympic Games. The President of the Pierre de Coubertin Committee in Colombia, Tomás Bolaño and the Secretary General, Eduardo Pérez, were in charge of the organization of this important congress.

On this occasion several meetings took place in order to share experience in different Latin American countries. It is expected that new national Pierre de Coubertin Committees will soon be set up in Costa Rica and Puerto Rico whose representatives attended this event.
