This publication provides an overview of the individual members of the International Pierre de Coubertin Committee (IPCC), the National Pierre de Coubertin Committees and the International Network of Pierre de Coubertin Schools. It describes the IPCC and those who keep alive the spirit of Pierre de Coubertin, showing that his ideas are integrated in today’s world. It aims to provide all members with an opportunity to communicate and interact with one another in a concise way and to strengthen their collaboration within the areas of their individual interests. It also seeks to facilitate communication and increase awareness about the IPCC and its place in society. We encourage you to visit our website,, and to enter into dialogue with us on the life and work of Pierre de Coubertin, the academic activities of the IPCC and its educational knowledge transfer projects.

It is important to stress that the project does not end with this publication. A database will allow for an additional digital portrait of the IPCC. It will be more than a mere list of members. It will enable communication and administrative functionalities that will facilitate processes on an individual, national and international level. Currently, the database project team is working on different tasks. The release of the database platform is planned for the spring of 2023.

We would like to thank the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for its support in the foundation of our committee and its recognition of the IPCC in 1984. The IOC’s support has been fundamental to the sustainable development of the IPCC since its creation in 1975.
